I have been praciting law since 1985. I have been exclusively engaged in alternative dispute resolution since 2007. I bring a broad background to my role as a mediator. As an attorney worked in a variety of environments and with a diverse client base. I have handled all varities of family law issues, business transactions and disputes, real estate and probate cases. I understand the dynamics of the commercial world and the personal dynamics of disputes that directly affect individuals.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and my law degree from Seattle University. I have professional mediation certification from the University of Washington School of Law and advanced training at the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. I obtained collaborative mediation training from Collaborative Practice Northwest.
I am a member of the Washington State Bar Association and section member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section, Family Law and Business sections. I am also a member of the King County Bar Association and former Co-Chair of the Collaborative Law Section. I am also a section member of the Real Property and Probate and the Family Law sections. I am a member of the American Bar Association, the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law sections. I am the former Chair of the Civil Practice Group of King County Collaborative Law and I am a member of the International Acadamy of Collaborative Professionals.
